Zion Lutheran School offers a sports program for those wishing to participate. The emphasis is on good sportsmanship, on putting forth best effort, and on gaining experience in fundamentals. Although it is nice to win, we wish to instill the idea that how you play the game is more important.
Soccer, flag football, softball and baseball are sports that are offered through our community. There are not school sponsored teams for these sports until a child enters high school. However, for grades 3-8, here are the opportunities that Zion offers:

Decisions about teams will be made on a year-to-year basis and may not always be the same. We will do our best to provide an opportunity for your child to play.
You can encourage your child to participate, providing his or her studies would not be hurt. Academic performance is not a barrier to team membership. However, a parent may decide to restrict student participation because of academic performance. Parents are urged to support these activities by attending the games.
In order for a child to play in a game on a Sunday the child must attend church.
If you have any questions regarding athletics, please contact our Athletic Director, Gretchen Woodke.
