Zion Lutheran School and Church have an ongoing fundraising program called Scrip. There are over 8,000 schools, churches, and non-profit organizations involved in this proven fundraising program. The profit potential for our organization is unlimited.

What is Scrip?
The term “scrip” means “substitute money”. When families from Zion purchase Scrip, they are actually purchasing gift cards that can be used just like cash. The merchants that provide the scrip offer a percentage of the revenue to organizations that sell it in exchange for the business they receive when you use your scrip at their stores. This means that at no additional cost to you (Scrip is sold at face value,) you can help raise money for your school fees and the school. It is so easy. There is no difference between Scrip and cash when you go shopping, except you are using gift certificates to purchase your items.

What’s the catch?
There isn’t one! That’s the great thing about using Scrip. It doesn’t cost you a thing. For example, you buy $100 worth of gift cards to your favorite restaurant from Scrip. You pay Zion $100 and receive $100 in gift cards. The restaurant offers our organization a 10% discount to sell their gift cards, so that restaurant just donated $10 to our school. Guess what else?  Of that 10%, 1/2 (or 5%) is used specifically towards your child's tuition!  Yes, you get 1/2 of the percentage to use towards tuition!  Every card has a different percentage, so the amount earned for tuition is different for every card purchased.
